The 10th Governing Council Meeting was conducted on 14-17 March 2016 at Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore with 66 participants from Contracting Parties and 12 External Participants.
The Governing Council commended the ReCAAP ISC on achieving further milestones in operations, research and analysis, capacity building, and engagement and cooperation with other organisations.
The Meeting noted the good cooperation at the operational level with the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) and Indonesian law enforcement agencies. Representatives from industry organisations also reaffirmed their commitment to the ReCAAP with their continual presence. Voluntary financial contributions towards the work of the ReCAAP ISC were pledged by the Governors/Governor Representatives from Australia, China, India, Japan, South Korea, the Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Thailand and the United States of America.
